A Hospital Built on Compassion and Clinical Excellence
Starting as Old Talek Clinic in 2008 and fully registered in 2015, Talek Hospital Limited has been providing trusted healthcare to families across Abuja and Nasarawa State.
Meet Nurse Christianah Taiwo Olayemi
Talek Hospital Limited was founded by Nurse Christianah Taiwo Olayemi, a seasoned healthcare professional and nurse educator whose career of over 31 years has been defined by clinical excellence, compassionate maternal and child care, and healthcare leadership.
A Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), and Nurse Tutor with a B.NSc., she is an active member of the Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation and a certified HIV and Family Planning Counsellor, Midwife Educator, and Life Saver. She was recently honored with a certificate of recognition for participating in the Empowerment Program for Birth Attendants at Arts and Culture, representing the University of Abuja.
Talek Hospital grew from the original Talek Clinic & Maternity in Mararaba (established 2008), expanding to our Kabusa branch in 2015, and our Sheritti branch in 2017. Today, our facilities are supported by global health partners including the Sydani Initiative for International Development and NSI under the Midwife-Led Enterprises Assessment Programme.
Our Mission, Vision & Values
Everything we do at Talek Hospital flows from a shared belief: that every person deserves high-quality, dignified healthcare close to home.
Our Mission
To minimize maternal mortality among women and children under five years through accessible, compassionate, and high-standard clinical care.
Our Vision
To bring health to the family at large — To save a woman, save a nation.
Our Values
Compassion in every interaction. Clinical excellence in every diagnosis. Dignity for every patient. Continuous learning to stay at the forefront of healthcare. Community first, always.
Why Patients Choose Talek Hospital
There are many healthcare facilities in the region. Here is what makes our patients come back, and recommend us to their families.
Female-Led, Community-Rooted
Our hospital is led by a woman who started her career as a nurse in the community. That foundation shapes how we treat every patient: with patience, empathy, and genuine attention.
Full Maternal Care Under One Roof
From antenatal registration through safe delivery to postnatal follow-up, everything a pregnant mother needs is available at Talek Hospital. No need to travel across town for different services.
A Real Multidisciplinary Team
Resident doctors, medical officers, nurses, midwives, community health workers, sonographers, lab technicians, and health assistants all work together on your case.
Staff Who Keep Learning
Our CEO is a nurse educator and preceptor. We invest in regular staff training, workshops, and professional development so the care you receive stays current and competent.
Three Branches, One Standard
Whether you visit Kabusa, Shettri, or Mararaba, you get the same quality of care. We have built consistent clinical standards across all our locations.
